Contact Me

You’re almost there! Just a simple contact form and you will be one step closer to bringing your idea to life.

You’ve made it this far and I’d really love to hear what you have in mind. Just need to scroll down a little bit further, fill out that form, and give me an opportunity.

If you’re hesitant, feel free to ask for a reference. I have clients who are happy to share their experience. Don’t be alarmed if they refer to me as a “magician” though.

Sound Good So Far?

What To Expect

To help facilitate an awareness of compatibility, the following information details what you can expect when working with me.

Step 1: You contact me with a brief message about your needs.

At this point, I am primarily looking for information about you and a general idea of what you are looking to accomplish.

I will respond to let you know if I am interested in learning more about your project. Most of the time I will provide a list of questions to help me better understand your project and needs.

Step 2: We define a list of goals you are looking to accomplish.

I do my best to avoid defining specific tasks or requirements that absolutely need to be accomplish.

The primary reason for this is that there is no guarantee a specific task or requirement can be accomplished. This leads to us having to go back and forth to figure out what to do when this happens.

Using the abstract idea and goals, I will be able to produce a ballpark estimate.

Step 3: I provide a Ballpark Estimate.

The estimate you receive will be within the ballpark. While I do my best to keep costs within the ballpark, it is possible that final costs will land outside of it.

I do not work on an hourly basis, nor do I define flat-rate costs up-front. Custom development work is billed using a character-based pricing model. Final costs are calculated at the end of a project.

If the estimate falls within your budget, then we can move to Project Kickoff!

Step 4: We engage in Project Kickoff.

Many of my clients do not require a contract, but I do have a contract available for clients who prefer to have one in place. When required, the contract will need to be signed and returned before kicking off the project.

To kick a project off, I will require a down payment to get started on your project.

Work will begin within seven (7) days of receiving a down payment.

Step 5: I perform Project Development.

Once I begin working on your project, I tend to work autonomously. I build the project to the fullest extent possible to ensure it meets my own code quality standards.

During this phase, I will provide you with updates (as they come) with how the project is progressing. It may be common for me to be dark during the start of your project, but communication will pick up once I have the foundation of your project completed.

To help streamline the development process, you wouldn’t be able to review the end-result until once Initial Development is complete.

Step 6: You review the work and request revisions.

Once I have completed Initial Development, you will have an opportunity to review the work and request any revisions.

If I am required to deliver the source code for your review, I will require a milestone payment before submitting the work to you.

Typically, I will have create a website where you can log in to review the work before any additional payments are made.

Once all of your revisions have been implemented, the final cost of the project will be calculated and you will be billed the difference between the final cost and any payments you’ve already made on the project.

Final delivery of the work will be made only after all amounts due are paid in full. My goal is to receive final payment within thirty (30) days of completion initial development.

Step 7: We establish a Maintenance Agreement.

Custom Development requires on-going maintenance. I fully intend on establishing long-term relationships with my clients, but a Maintenance Plan will be required.

Maintenance Plans are structured on a per-client basis depending on the needs of the client.

Without a Maintenance Plan, I would not be able to perform maintenance or additional work to previously completed projects. However, I can still take on new projects.

You’ve Made It!

Keeping It Simple

Before we begin your project, we will have a lot to discuss. Tell me a little bit about yourself and a general idea of what you’re looking for.

“First, solve the problem. Then, write the code.”

What our clients are saying about us!

Chris’ attention to detail and knowledge of web and database code have been an asset to our company for nearly 2 years. In that time we’ve modified and maintained a subscription-based streaming website and developed two others from the ground up, and Chris’ design, development, and consultation has informed every step of each process. Highly recommended.
